I decided to write about a folding bed. There are almost no such products in reviews. But in vain. Guests arrive, but there is nowhere to put them to sleep. I started thinking about how to fix it. If you take a wire, clamp it on one side, make a hook and insert the hook into the frame, and on the other side clamp it in a circle. It won’t work again, the hook will fall out of the hole in the bed frame, just like these springs.

Then I decided to attach the mattress to the frame not through holes, but in a circle. For this I took bags from Magnet. I go there often, I buy fruits and vegetables, I pack them in bags, they are free, but I don’t throw away the bags, I put the garbage there, tie it up, put it in a general bag, and then just throw it away. There are a lot of packages accumulated. Using a knitting needle, I pushed the bag into the hole in the tension fabric to which the mattress was attached; the hole remained from the spring holders.

You just need to thread the bag through, grabbing the metal wire inside this tension fabric. It is hard, like a rod inside, located on the edge.

Then I wrapped it around the frame and tied it.

And so on wherever the springs fell out.

Then do the same on the other side of the mattress - I threaded the bag through it, pulled it on, wrapped it around the frame, and tied it.

Nothing fails anymore. You can sleep, although the tension has weakened a little, but the bags held up better than the springs.

We connect the sides using bars. If there is a tenon joint, then insert the tenons into the cuts, which are pre-lubricated with wood glue. If they are not there, you need to mark the joints on the sidewalls and make a hole using an 8 mm drill, and 5 mm at the ends of the beam. We use euroscrews and tighten everything.

Now all that remains is to attach the facing strips. To ensure they lie flat, we first mark everything out. Each board should have 4 marks, that is, two on each side. To make the work easier, we make a template from scraps of slats, drill 2 holes in them, and the work will go much faster. To prevent the plank from cracking when we attach it, we first drill the hole with a thin drill, and then screw the screws along them to the sidewall. The distance between the slats should be approximately 15 mm.

Now all that's left is painting. We use high-quality primer and paint. The chair is ready and you can test it.
