I think there is no point in writing about the applied role of the mirror. We all use it a hundred times a day. But, by the way, a mirror according to Feng Shui is also:
- a connecting link between the material and subtle worlds;
- conductor and corrector of Qi energy flows.
And although Feng Shui came to us from exotic China, it is worth listening to recommendations regarding the correct placement of mirrors in the house. It definitely won't get any worse. And today I will talk about where you can and cannot hang a mirror according to Feng Shui in your home.

First, we need to make holes in the mirror sheet for through fasteners. So, there are some ways to make this process easier:
- It is necessary to first rub the mirror with turpentine, and only then drill - this will avoid the appearance of cracks.
- It is better to first make holes in the right place using a diamond glass cutter.
- While working, do not put too much pressure on the drill. All actions must be as careful as possible.
- It is recommended to use an electric drill with adjustable speed, because you will only need to drill the mirror at minimum speed.
Step-by-step instruction
Step 1. First of all, we treat the surface and let it dry normally. The mirror should be placed on as flat a surface as possible. Next, you need to mark the hole using a marker.

Step 2. Next, you need to make a small rim of plasticine around the future hole, into which you can pour water, and only after that should you start drilling.

Step 3. Once the hole is ready, you will need to sand it down with sandpaper.

Next, you will need, as in the previous case, to make holes in the wall, and then place fasteners there and only then install the canvas itself.
Bathroom mirror
The bathroom is a place where a person can retire and be alone with himself. In this case, the mirror helps you realize yourself, find your inner resource - the path to happiness and prosperity.
Wipe the surface of the mirror as often as possible. Only a pure reflection of oneself is conducive to clarity. Otherwise, you see yourself in a distorted light, and it will be more difficult to find your path.
Buy a round mirror. To ensure a rich life, choose round or oval. Sharp corners slow down the movement of Qi energy.
A round mirror with a metal or black frame is energetically suitable for the bathroom.
Hang the mirror at the level of the tallest family member. The principle is the same as for mirror tiles: it is unacceptable to see yourself in an incomplete form, especially without a head (it’s better not to see at all!).
Place the mirror in the frame. This will help stop the flowing energy of the Water element.

Do not install a mirror on the toilet door. It is useless and sometimes even harmful. Imagine a large office, a corridor and many doors to offices. You need to get into one of them, but you don’t remember exactly which one. You walk along the corridor, and on one of the doors you see a mirror in a luxurious frame in the shape of the sun. Imagine the disappointment when you realize that this is just a toilet... How to determine the mounting height of mirrors
A mirror is a wonderful interior decoration. But in addition to aesthetic functions, it must cope with its direct responsibilities. It should be placed in such a way that none of the family members experience inconvenience or discomfort when using it. Of course, in personal rooms they need to be adapted to the owner. But general accessories - in the bathroom, living room or hallway should be comfortable for everyone.
The mirror in the bathroom should have a distance of 20-40 cm from the sink. This arrangement will provide it with reliable protection from splashes, and at the same time will contribute to comfortable use. A distance of 1m 20 cm should be left from the floor. This will ensure the safety of small children. The top edge should exceed the height of the tallest person in the household by a couple of centimeters. Consider these rules when choosing a mirror. They will help you decide on the size of the canvas.
In the hallway it is better to use a tall floor-length mirror. With its help, you can always adequately assess your appearance before leaving home. The height of the panel should be comfortable for the main “record holder” for height among your family members.
Signs about the location of mirrors in the house
Many superstitions regarding mirrors are associated with the placement of this item in the home. For example, the teachings of Feng Shui prohibit hanging a mirror in front of the front door or window. Otherwise, it will turn the energy in your home into “distilled water.” As you know, consuming it is harmful, since it washes out all useful microelements from the body. The energy of your home will act on you in a similar way.
