According to Feng Shui, the hallway should be spacious and well lit with bright, warm light. It is especially good if the lamp is crystal, since crystal harmoniously combines the energies of earth and fire. It is extremely unfavorable when, upon entering an apartment, you almost immediately bump into a wall. The wall symbolizes a dead end that does not allow positive qi energy to enter the house. As a result, it can reduce your activity, positivity, and desire to achieve your goals. If redevelopment is not possible, expand the space visually. Some Feng Shui masters advise placing a mirror opposite the front door. This should not be done, otherwise the mirror will repel the chi energy and block its access to the room.
Colors

Lavender fields and the sea coast are ideally associated with a setting in blurry lilac, sand, light blue, and white shades. The walls are decorated with rough plaster, wallpaper with small flowers or canvases imitating brickwork. Rough boards on the floor, forged elements of wall shelves, lamps, patinated handles on chest of drawers, photographs framed in wood, painted and artificially aged, will convey the rural atmosphere well;
- The hallways, decorated in national styles, look unusual. Common options: Indian, Turkish, Japanese, Arabic. The originality of the furnishings is manifested in contrasting combinations of shades (golden/red, black and white), special patterns and ornaments.

- For the design of stairs, window and door openings, the same materials are selected. The naturalness of Provence and country will be emphasized by wood of whitish and light brown tones (birch, alder, pine). The prestige of classic interiors will be supported by oak, ash, teak, rosewood;
- the shape of the furniture should be beautifully combined with the staircase structure.
To illuminate staircases, it is fashionable to use wall sconces and built-in spotlights. The choice of lamps and shades is determined by the style of the room.
A small, strict staircase, the steps and railings of which are made of glass, looks especially light and impressive. Such designs fit organically into studio apartments decorated in minimalist and high-tech styles.
Where to place the mirror?
This question worries many owners who decide to install a beautiful mirror in the hallway. Is it allowed to install it opposite the entrance?
In books describing Feng Shui, a clear answer is given: it is strictly forbidden to hang such products in front of the door. In Eastern countries, a mirror hanging opposite the entrance was considered a bad omen.
Whatever they say, mirror elements remain one of the main attributes of the hallway. Before going out, they will definitely stand in front of them to make sure that their clothes look normal, their hair is styled and looks elegant.
